Rev. Michael R. Toliver was born in Chesapeake Virginia on October 1 1953. Pastor Toliver received his early education in the Chesapeake Public Schools. He furthered his education by receiving a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Golden Gate University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond VA.
Pastor Toliver confessed Christ at the age of 16 at Greater St. Andrews AME Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While at Greater St. Andrews he served as Trustee, Steward, Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer and Choir Member. In 1986 the Lord called Pastor Toliver to preach the Word of God which later led him to First Baptist Church South Hill.
With his wife Bennette, son Jermaine and daughter Mekita, Pastor Toliver continues to minister to those inside the church as well as those in the community through outreach ministries.
